According to police, three people were killed in a crash that occurred on State Route 286 near State Route 217 in Blacklick Township, Indiana County, at approximately 6:59 p.m. on Friday evening.

According to the Indiana-based Pennsylvania State Police, a 2004 Ford Taurus, operated by Thomas B. Kenney Jr., 65, of Homer City, was traveling eastbound toward Indiana, just prior to the State Route 217 intersection, when it departed its lane of travel and became broadside across the roadway. As it continued to travel east, the Taurus impacted a 1998 Harley Davidson Electric Glide Classic, operated by Raymond J. Stumpf, 46, of Aultman, that was traveling west toward Saltsburg.

Indiana County Coroner Jerry Overman Jr. pronounced Kenney and Stumpf dead at the scene at 8:27 p.m. Both died of blunt force trauma.

Stumpf's wife, Shannon Stumpf, 44, of Aultman, was transported to Forbes Regional Hospital by LifeFlight, but she died of her injuries, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office.

Toxicology tests are pending.

The Pennsylvania State Police were assisted at the scene by their Forensic Services Unit and multiple other members, along with Overman, the Coal Run/McIntyre, Black Lick and Aultman volunteer fire companies, Citizen's Ambulance and LifeFlight.
