A benefit dinner will be held for John Raniowski from 4 to 8 p.m. this Saturday at the Rossiter American Legion.

This summer, Raniowski suffered head trauma and then had a stroke in August, which left him paralyzed on his right side.

To help with medical expenses and other expenses related to his care, friends will be hosting the benefit.

Pictured are a few members of the Church of the Resurrection Youth Group of Rossiter, who Raniowski often helped out (from left): Lexie Holeva, Ashley Holeva and Lucy Hawk holding Ty Behrendt.
