Mackenzie Rosenberger, 15, a student at Punxsutawney Area High School, has been chosen to perform in the national organization known as The Sound of America Honor Band and Chorus.

This summer, she will travel and perform in the 2013 European Concert
Tour, which includes stops in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France and Luxembourg.

The cost of the trip is $6,200, and that does not include the uniform, passport and currency packs.

Rosenberger is doing her best to raise the money by having bake sales, and she hopes to have a car wash, too.

Her next bake sale will be held at Fezell's County Market on Saturday.

Mackenzie is the daughter of Ken and Kathy Rosenberger of Punxsutawney.
