Ronald D. Morrison, 65

Ronald D. Morrison, 65, Punxsutawney, passed away Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010, at Mulberry Square Elder Care & Rehabilitation Center.

He was born Feb. 11, 1945, in Transfer.

He was married to Patricia Morrison, who preceded him in death.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Germany.

A member of the Cloe United Methodist Church, Mr. Morrison was the church’s choir director and in 2007, the director of the Christmas Cantata.

Surviving relatives include two daughters, Rebecca J. Morrison and fiance Bryan R. Hoover of Punxsutawney, and Lisa Marie Morrison of Masury, Ohio; and Sean C. Morrison of Girard, Ohio.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Seth T. Morrison and Aaron Morrison.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Deeley Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at the funeral home, with Pastor Paul Thompson officiating.

Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Cloe.
