Rodney L. Miller, 60, Punxsutawney, died Monday, March 3, 2014, at home.

He was born Dec, 8, 1953, in Punxsutawney, the son of A. Leroy and Orpha E. (Yoas) Miller.

On Oct. 24, 1998, he married Darlene J. (Smith) Miller, who survives.

He attended the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Trade City.

He enjoyed tractors, guns, antiques, auctions and woodworking.

He was a vice president of the Rossiter Sportsmen’s Club and a lifetime member of the N.R.A.

He was the owner and operator of Rodney L. Miller Welding.

In addition to his wife, surviving relatives include four children, Craig Miller of Punxsutawney, Tara Miller of Punxsutawney, Larry Satterlee, Jr. and Bev Newara of Punxsutawney, and Susan Satterlee and Tim Graham of Port Matilda, Pa.; six grandchildren, Alexis Shugars, Brehanna Satterlee, Lauren Satterlee, Michael Vega-Satterlee, Shianne Simpson and Sean Newara; and a great-granddaughter, Ava Satterlee.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, March 5, 2014, and from noon to 2 p.m., Thursday, March, 6, 2014, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, March 6, 2014, at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Round Top Cemetery, Trade City.
