Robert M. Boston, 62

Robert M. Boston, 62, Rossiter, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013.

He was born on April 19, 1951, a son of the late Frances and Anna Elizabeth “Betty” (Esposito) Boston.

On April 19, 1975, he married Darlene M. Ankeny, who survives.

He had two daughters and a grandson who he loved greatly.

He was a member of the Uniontown Church of Christ in Cherry Tree.

He served in the U.S. Army in the Air Defense Artillery during the Vietnam War.

He was employed by Jefferson Grocery where he worked as a warehouseman and a truck driver.

He enjoyed fishing, puzzles, playing dominos and socializing, and he used to be in a CB radio club.

He was a member of the American Legion, where he served on the board, as well as the Eagles, Elks, VFW and the Moose.

In addition to his wife, surviving relatives include two daughters, Misty Hollis and husband Jason of Glen Campbell and Kristy Anthony and husband Greg of Glen Campbell; a grandson, Hayden M. Anthony; three brothers, Frank Boston and wife Sam of Ernest, Pa., Ed Boston and wife Bernie of Punxsutawney, and Ronnie Boston and LouAnn of Punxsutawney;
and three sisters, Rose Meckley of Punxsutawney, Patty Stahlman of Punxsutawney, and Jean Lunger and husband Randy of Rossiter.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, at the funeral home, with Pastor John Kerr officiating.

Interment will be at Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville.
