Robert (Bob) H. Diggory III, 77

Robert (Bob) H. Diggory III, 77, Dacula, Ga., died suddenly Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011.

He was born in Albany, N.Y., a son of the late Robert H. and Annis (Sykes) Diggory Jr.

He attended Russell Sage College and served in the National Guard.

Mr. Diggory was a long-time member of the Lions Club and a volunteer for Project Share in Carlisle.

He will be remembered for his warm heart and friendship, faith in God and his volunteer contributions to the communities in which he lived.
Surviving relatives include his children, Cindy Cunningham, Donna Patterson and husband Scott, Robert H. Diggory IV and wife Nancy, Annis Poirier and husband Harold, John Diggory and wife Lorri, and Mark Diggory and wife Victoria; his grandchildren; and his loving family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Beebe and husband Walter, and Marion Bachleda and husband Stanley.

Mr. Diggory’s body was cremated.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at the Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel, 3481 Hamilton Mill Rd., Buford, Ga. 30519.

A second memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at the First United Methodist Church, 64 East North St., Carlisle.
