Ringgold truck/garage fire ruled accidental

RINGGOLD — The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal and Ringgold Area Fire Department investigated the origin and cause of a fire that destroyed a 2005 Peterbilt Log Truck and damaged a 40-by-60-foot garage on March 16 at 4:17 p.m.

The fire originated in the engine compartment, a report issued by PSP-Punxsy said, and was determined to be the result of an accidental cause.

There were no injuries, and damage was estimated at $100,000.

The Hawthorne, Dayton, Perry Township and Oliver Township fire companies assisted the Ringgold Area Fire Department at the scene.
