OLIVEBURG — A Rossiter man riding a motorcycle around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday along Route 36 in Oliveburg, was transported to the hospital with moderate injuries after he crashed his bike.

According to Punxsutawney-based Pennsylvania State Police, Kyle T. Bryan, 22, Rossiter, was traveling north on Route 36 on his Kawasaki 250R and was completing a pass when a bungee cord that was holding a coat and cooler bag came loose, and the coat wrapped around the bike’s tire .

Police said Bryan’s motorcycle skidded 105 feet before it overturned, which caused him to be

thrown from the bike and onto the highway.

According to police, Bryan’s motorcycle overturned about five times before coming to rest along the west berm.

Police said Bryan tumbled several times and came to rest in the center of the road. He suffered moderate injuries and was transported from the scene by ambulance to Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

Bryan’s motorcycle sustained minor damage and was removed from the scene by private vehicle.

Police said Bryan will be charged with violation of securing loads in a vehicle.
