Richard C. Perry, 82, Punxsutawney, passed away, Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
He was born April 28, 1929, in Frostburg, a son of the late Antonio and Anna Rose (Bianco) Perry.
March 3, 1948, he married Agnes (Smouse) Perry, who survives, of Frostburg.
Mr. Perry was the owner and founder of Perry Drilling. He was also a life-long farmer. He was a former Boy Scout leader and the former director for Patrons Mutual Fire Insurance Company.
His favorite pastime wasÂ to go fishing in Canada. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he loved spending time with them.
In addition to his wife, surviving relatives include two sons, Richard C. Perry II of Punxsutawney, and Randolph A. PerryÂ and wife Jacque of Frostburg; two daughters, Sharon P. Reesman and husband Bob, and Suzanne Perry, all of Punxsutawney; eight grandchildren, Renee Doverspike, Richard E. Perry, Robert Reesman, Christopher Reesman, Rebecca Pellas, Thad Perry, Leif Perry and Jesse DeChurch; 12 great-grandchildren; two great- great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Evelyn Greesock of Punxsutawney, and Nadine Early of Pittsburgh.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Dominick Perry, John Perry, William Perry, Leonard Perry and Eugene Perry; and a sister, Eleanor Ferrent.
All arrangements are private for family and under the direction of the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.
