Rebecca L. Phillips, 70

Rebecca Larraine Phillips, 70, Punxsutawney, died Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

She was born Dec. 22, 1941, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Harry and Marie (Mitchell) Johnson.

She married Kenneth Ray Phillips, who preceded her in death July 14, 2003.

Mrs. Phillips worked as a nurse's aide for the Blose-McGregor Health Care Center.

Surviving relatives include five sons, Norman Mitchell, Timothy Mitchell, Robin Mitchell and Kenneth Mitchell, all of Punxsutawney, and Stephen Phillips of Rochester Mills; a brother, Leroy Johnson of New York; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home, Punxsutawney, with Pastor William Foster officiating.

Interment will be at Lakelawn Memorial Park in Reynoldsville.
