Ralph E. Miller, 69, Smicksburg, passed away Friday, March 30, 2012, at Mulberry Square Elder Care & Rehabilitation Center, Punxsutawney.

He was born Oct. 20, 1942, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Charles H. and Vera (Neal) Miller.

He was a member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Trade City.

Mr. Miller was employed for 30 years by PennDOT, where he worked as an inspector before retiring.

He loved playing Bingo and maintained his home on the farm where he was born.

Mr. Miller made his home at Mahoning Riverside Manor in Punxsutawney for the past four years.

Surviving relatives include two brothers, Charles Neal Miller and wife Mary Ann of Christianburg, Va., and John K. Miller and wife Judy of Smicksburg; a nephew, Shawn K. Miller and wife Carrie; four nieces, Nancy E. Rodriguez, Neala A. Miller, Molly Lee Kruckenberg and husband Robert and Meryl Lyn O'Brien and husband Greg; and 10 grand-nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday April 1, 2012, at the McCabe Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2012, at the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Trade City with the Rev. Maureen L. Seifried and the Rev. Joe Boomhower co-officiating.

Interment will follow at the White Church Cemetery, Hamilton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 27552 Rt 954 Hwy N, Smicksburg, Pa. 16256.
