Ralph D. Work, 79, Brookville, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at home.

He was born Nov. 28, 1933, in Richardsville, Pa., a son of the late Earl Clifton and Grace Pearl (Yohe) Work.

July 19, 1958, in Summerville, he married Janet Eileen Sigworth, who survives.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Mr. Work was a graphic designer of fine china.

He was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church of Brookville and Richardsville Baptist Church in Richardsville.

He enjoyed bluegrass and Southern gospel music. He loved traveling, camping and his family.

In addition to his wife, surviving relatives include two sons, Mark E. (Cathy J.) Work of Oakdale, Pa., and Jeff A. (Robin D.) Work of King, N.C.; a brother, Herbert A. Work of Brockport; a sister, Emma E. Work of Brookville; four grandchildren, Michael D. (Skye) Work, Matthew J. Work, Tiffany D. (Stephen) Morgan and Chelsea N. Work; two great-grandchildren, Keeli S. Work and Levi T. Morgan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the McKinney Funeral Home, Brookville.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at the funeral home with Pastor Brian Smeal and Pastor Ron Gray officiating.

Interment will be at the Richardsville Cemetery in Warsaw Township.
