Ralph B. Sprague, 81

Ralph B. Sprague, 81, Reynoldsville, died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, at DuBois Regional Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 5, 1929, in Winslow Township, a son of the late Eugene W. and Esther A. (Strouse) Sprague.

Oct. 15, 1948, he married Grace L. (Buhite) Sprague, who survives.

Mr. Sprague was a retired area farmer and member of the Paradise Church of Christ, Reynoldsville.

In addition to his wife, surviving relatives include two sons, Thomas Sprague and wife Donna of Reynoldsville, and Donald Sprague and wife Brenda of DuBois; two daughters, Shirley Wachob and husband Lyle of Punxsutawney, and Cathy Gourley and husband Bill of Youngsville; three brothers, Robert L. Sprague and wife Linda of Reynoldsville, Richard C. Sprague and wife Shirley of DuBois, and Royce Sprague and wife Charlotte of Reynoldsville; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ronald, Raymond and Russell Sprague; and two sisters, Ruth Kunselman and Ruby Smith.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home, Reynoldsville.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, at the funeral home with the Rev. Mary Ellen Hoffman officiating.

Interment will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville.
