Cheryl Phillips, Med Surg Nurse Manager at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital, is pictured here accepting donations from the Punxsutawney Area Middle School RAK (Random Acts of Kindness) Club.

The students coordinated a school-wide collection of items that could be given to inpatients at PAH.

Students collected more than 450 items, including puzzle books, stuffed animals, card games, office supplies and toys.

It is the hope of the RAK Club that these items can be distributed to patients in the hospital who might need something to occupy their time, or those who do not have relatives in the area.
