Punxsy boys' tennis players Michael Blose (left photo) and Tim Pearce (right photo), pictured here returning volleys while playing together at No. 1 doubles last Wednesday against Clearfield in Punxsutawney, were each supposed to take their shots at a District IX singles title Monday in DuBois. Unfortunately for all competitors, rain postponed the event to Thursday morning. The Chucks' baseball game scheduled for the afternoon against State College was also postponed due to thunderstorms in the area.
