The keynote speaker for the evening will be Les Shoop.

Shoop is the former basketball coach at Punxsutawney with a record of 198-96. His record includes five District IX Class AAAA Championships.
He coached his last Dapper Dan Round Ball classic at the Civic Arena.
Shoop attended high school at Shannock Valley from 1962-65, where he lettered three years in basketball, was the second leading scorer in school history and the third team All-State during his senior year.

Tickets for this year’s banquet will be available at the PAHS office; Lily’s; and the Medicine Shoppe. There are only 200 tickets available.
In order for an athlete to be considered for the Hall of Fame, a nomination form needs to be completed and turned into the Hall of Fame committee. Forms are available from any Hall of Fame committee member or in the high school office.

The induction ceremony is every 18 months.

The Punxsutawney Sports Hall of Fame Committee consists of Patti Fallara, Keith Hughes, Joyce Martino, Nancy Maruca, Perry McKeen, John Miller, William Sisk, Dr. Jack Smelko, Joe Steiner and William Vassallo.
