PUNXSY FIRE DEPT. RESPONDS TO TWO WEEKEND WRECKS

The Punxsutawney Fire Department assisted at two vehicle accidents that occurred on Saturday evening and early Sunday morning.

Pictured: The driver of this mini-van lost control the vehicle at 3:05 a.m. on Sunday while traveling on Albion Road near Wooddale Road, Young Township, traveling off the road, through a grove of trees and rolling the vehicle over onto its roof.

When firefighters from the Punxsutawney Fire Department arrived on scene, the flames had been extinguished by a neighbor, and the driver was able to crawl out through the window. Elk Run and Central Volunteer Fire departments responded.

The investigation by Punxsutawney-based Pennsylvania State Police is continuing. In both accidentsm Jefferson County EMS and Rebuck's South Side Service assisted at the scene.
