2014 OLD HOME WEEK PARADE WINNERS

PUNXSUTAWNEY — Mahoning Street was packed Saturday afternoon for the Punxsutawney Fire Department’s 2014 Old Home Week Firefighter’s Parade, an annual tradition in town.

The parade was a success, and here are the winners:

FLOATS, PERFORMANCES
• High School Bands: 1st place, West Branch; 2nd place, Marion Center.

• Senior Baton: 1st place, Firettes.

• Junior Baton: 1st place, Firettes; 2nd place, Commodorettes.

• Junior Drill: 1st place, Cheer Force; 2nd place, KLA.

• Non-commercial float: 1st place, Camp Friendship; 2nd place, Freedom Fighters; 3rd place, First Assembly of God.

• Commercial float: 1st place, Jefferson County Housing Authority.

• 1750 GPM or more: 1st place, Clearfield Volunteer Fire Dept.

• 1250 to 1500 GPM, 1st place, McCalmont Township Volunteer Fire Co.; 2nd place, Ringgold Area Volunteer Fire Co.

• Tanker: 1st place, Glen Campbell Volunteer Fire Co.; 2nd place, Mahaffey Volunteer Fire Dept.

• Rescue: 1st place, Rossiter Volunteer Fire Co.; 2nd place, Blairsville Volunteer Fire Dept.

• Brush truck: 1st place, Ringgold Area Volunteer Fire Co.; 2nd place, McCalmont Township Volunteer Fire Co.

• Oldest: Glen Campbell brush truck.

• Longest distance traveled: Blairsville.
