Punxsutawney man arrested, charged in stabbing, robbery

PUNXSUTAWNEY — The Punxsutawney Borough Police Department reported on Monday that a Punxsutawney man was arrested and charged in a stabbing incident that recently took place in Punxsutawney.

Police reported that Jamon N. Diehl, 25, Punxsutawney, was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, terrorist threats and robbery — charges stemming from an incident in the early morning hours last Friday on S. Gilpin Street.

Police said that Diehl allegedly stabbed a 31-year-old male from Punxsutawney multiple times in the head, arm, wrist and shoulder.

Pennsylvania State Police assisted in the apprehension of Diehl.

Police said they are continuing the investigation into this incident.
