Police release names, file charges in November egging incident
PUNXSUTAWNEY — Punxsutawney-based Pennsylvania State Police have released one name and filed charges related to a series of egging incidents that occurred between the dates of Nov. 17 and 18, 2012.
The incidents occurred in McCalmont Township, Young Township, Perry Township, Big Run Borough, Sykesville Borough, Reynoldsville Borough and Punxsutawney Borough in Jefferson County; Canoe Township, Banks Township, Montgomery Township and Burnside Borough in Indiana County; and DuBois City and Sandy Township in Clearfield County.
The accused individuals are Erica M. Huey, 36, Punxsutawney, and five unnamed juveniles.
The victims of the incident were 28 various individuals throughout the listed areas.
It is alleged that on Nov. 17 and 18, 2012, Huey allowed the juveniles to purchase 35 dozen eggs from Wal-Mart on her Access card.
Huey and the juveniles then allegedly drove around the above areas, throwing eggs at vehicles and residences.
Charges were filed with 54-3-01, District Judge Douglas Chambers, for the following offenses:
• Huey, six counts corruption of minors, M1; two counts M3 criminal mischief; and 54 counts of criminal mischief.
• The five juveniles were charged through the Jefferson County Juvenile Justice system for the following charges: 10 counts M3 criminal mischief and 270 counts of criminal mischief.
