Police investigating attempted burglary at Summerville Fire Dept.

SUMMERVILLE — Punxsutawney-based Pennsylvania State Police are investigating an attempted burglary that occurred around 1:22 a.m. Sunday at the Summerville Volunteer Fire Department.

During that time, police said, unknown actor(s) used a crowbar-like object to pry open a rear entry door, and then proceeded through the damaged door, activating an audible security alarm.

Police said the actor(s) exited the scene undetected in an unknown direction of travel.

Total estimated damaged is approximately $100.
