Police: $1,800 worth of fish to be donated to children’s derby stolen

CHEST TOWNSHIP — Punxsutawney-based Pennsylvania State police reported that 60 large trout — many of which were to be donated to a children’s fishing derby — were stolen between May 4 and May 5 from the Susquehanna Valley Rod & Gun Club, at a fish hatchery on Holes Road in Clearfield County.

Police said the total loss is estimated at $1,800.
