Phyllis Arlene Kunselman, 81

Phyllis Arlene Kunselman, 81, Cloe, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

She was born Jan. 3, 1931, in Yatesboro, a daughter of the late Ira A. and Evelyn (Kennedy) Mauk.

Aug. 29, 1948, she married C. Merle "Guber" Kunselman, who preceded her in death April 15, 2006.

Mrs. Kunselman was a charter member of the F.O. Eagles No. 1231.

She was employed by Sylvania, Cameron, Rola Jensen and was a manager of Paris Cleaners before retiring in 1992.

Mrs. Kunselman loved being with her family, gardening, playing cards, traveling and Sunday morning breakfast with the "Breakfast Girls."

Surviving relatives include a daughter, Deborah Ann Fleckenstein and husband James of Punxsutawney; two sons, Robert C. Kunselman and wife Debbie of Florence, S.C., and David R. Kunselman and wife Kimberly of LaVernia, Texas; a sister, Elanor Miller of North Tonawanda, N.Y.; six grandchildren, Heather Thompson, Paul Kunselman, Laura Fleckenstein, Julie Fleckenstein, Erin Kunselman and Megan Kunselman; three step-grandchildren, Jessica Spurrell, Brittany Hinds and Devin Mourning; and six great-grandchildren, Brandon Thompson, Dustin Thompson, Colby Thompson, Morgan McFarland, Graham McFarland and Gabriel Kunselman.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Treharne; and two brothers-in-law, Bill Treharne and Bill Miller.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at the McCabe Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2012, at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Thompson officiating.

Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Frostburg.

Donations may be made in Mrs. Kunselman's name to the Family Hospice of Punxsutawney, 850 Hospital Rd., Suite 300, Indiana, Pa. 15701 or the Cloe United Methodist Church.
