Penny E. Pearce, 57, Frostburg, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital.

She was born Nov. 11, 1954, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Jessie Brocious.

She was married to Gary L. Pearce, who survives, of Frostburg.
Mrs. Pearce loved garage sales, flea markets and her cats. She also loved working on the computer.

In addition to her husband, surviving relatives include a son, Shawn Sisson and wife Jamie of Cannonsburg; a sister, Barbara McGee and husband Paul of Pittsburgh; three grandchildren, Tara Sisson, Tyler Sisson and Connor Sisson; her mother-in-law, Evelyn Miller of Punxsutawney; three sisters-in-law, Sandy Huey of Punxsutawney, who was like a sister to her, Judy Pearce and husband Raymond of Rural Valley, and Judy Brocious of Punxsutawney; a brother-in-law, Randy Pearce of Punxsutawney; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, John Brocious; and a sister, Lois McAfoose.

Friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012, at the McCabe Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012, at the funeral home with Pastor Butch Brunner officiating.

Interment will follow at Sykesville Memorial Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Mrs. Pearce’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Four Footed Friends of Indiana.
