PAHS to crown Groundhog King, Queen today

PUNXSUTAWNEY — Last week, PAHS seniors chose four girls and four boys for the 2011 Groundhog’s Day court. The students chosen were Katrina Anderson, Samantha Osikowicz, Lindsey Paulina, Caroline Weaver, Ben Blazavich, Jakob Godo, James Kachmar and Joe Neal.

The king and queen will be crowned during the annual Groundhog Day assembly at PAHS, which is now scheduled for 10 a.m. today.
• Katrina Anderson, daughter of Kim and Tom Anderson of Stump Creek, is enrolled in the academic curriculum and plans to attend Westminster College to major in occupational therapy.

• Samantha Osikowicz, daughter of Mark and Rose Osikowicz of Punxsutawney, is enrolled in the academic curriculum and plans to attend Slippery Rock University to major in dance.

• Lindsey Paulina, daughter of Sandy and Jeff Paulina of Punxsutawney, is enrolled in the academic curriculum and plans to attend either West Virginia University or James Madison University to major in nursing.

• Caroline Weaver, daughter of Terry and Deonne Weaver of Punxsutawney, is enrolled in the academic curriculum and plans to attend Robert Morris University to major in nursing.

• Ben Blazavich, son of Clint and Kelly Blazavich of Punxsutawney, is enrolled in the general curriculum and plans to major in education in college.

• Jakob Godo, son of Ken and Denette Godo of Albion, is enrolled in the technology curriculum and is undecided about where he wants to attend college.

• James Kachmar, son of Jodi and Jim Kachmar of Punxsutawney, is enrolled in the academic curriculum and plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh to major in pre-med.

• Joe D. Neal, son of Lisa Neal and the late Joe M. Neal of Punxsutawney, is enrolled in the academic curriculum and plans to attend The Citadel for criminal justice.
