The Punxsutawney Area Historical and Genealogical Society, Inc. held a History Day Camp Aug. 12 through Aug. 16 at the Lattimer House.

The event was held for children ages 6-12, and this year’s theme was "Punxsutawney's Military, Public and Community Service History."

The children learned about different uniforms and patches, visited places such as the Pennsylvania State Police Barracks and also welcomed a visit from Jefferson County Sheriff Carl Gotwald and his service dog, Brett.
