Otis Warren Engle, 87

Otis Warren Engle, 87, died Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at DeGraff Memorial Hospital in North Tonawanda, N.Y.

He was born July 8, 1923, in Timblin, a son of Samuel Boyd and Augusta (Casson) Engle.

He was a 1942 graduate of Punxsutawney High School and a veteran of World War II.

Mr. Engle retired from International Paper Company in 1985 after 35 years of service.

Surviving relatives include a nephew, Jeff Engle of Timblin; five nieces, Debra Phillips and husband Paul of Timblin, Lori Durante and husband Stevan of Brookville, Lisa Raybuck and husband Randon of Punxsutawney, Janice Winters of North Tonawanda, and Linda Blundy and husband Greg of Hamburg, N.Y.; four great-nephews; two great-nieces; a great-great nephew, a great-great-niece; and a sister-in-law, Helen Engle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant siblings; a brother, Leo B. Engle; a sister, Leah Winters; and three half-sisters, Laura Kordes, Margaret Minnich and Cecile Reichard.
A funeral service was held Thursday, March 3, 2011, at the Fretthold Funeral Home in North Tonawanda.

Interment was in Acacia Park Cemetery, North Tonawanda.
