OPENING A NEW HOME

November 1, 2010

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held for the grand opening of Alternative Fuel Solutions of Pennsylvania located at 6162 Colonel Drake Highway in Mahaffey last Friday. Alternative Fuel offers compressed natural gas fuel conversion for vehicles and equipment. John Rensel, a partner in Alternative Fuel with Dennis O’Donnell, said that the shallow well natural gas formation can be taken right out of the ground and put through a filter or a dryer, and put right into your vehicle. Shown at the ribbon-cutting are (front, from left): State Rep. Sam Smith; Marlene Lellock, executive director of the Punxsutawney Area Chamber of Commerce; Cheryl Rensel, co-owner; O’Donnell; John Rensel; Congressman Glenn Thompson; Tom Holes, former owner; (second row) Corry Riley, Clarion University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) business consultant; Craig Coon, director of Jefferson County Department of Development; Kathy Johnson; Evelyn Rensel; Deborah Vasenda; Bob Beatty, O’Ring & Associates; (third row) Jeff Curtis, president of the Punxsutawney Area Chamber of Commerce; State Representative Matt Gabler; John R.
