PUNXSUTAWNEY — Now that summer is officially here, it's time for the annual Punxsutawney Fire Department Old Home Week Parade, scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday in downtown Punxsutawney.

Mahoning Street will be shut down at approximately 3:15 p.m., with the parade moving out at 4 p.m.

Josh Wachob, Punxsutawney Fire Department chief, said he was sorry to
report that once again this year, there's no carnival, but there will be Bingo set up in the Central Fire Department truck bays during the week of the Groundhog Festival, from Monday, June 30, through Saturday, July 5, with the exception of July 4.
