Nora B. (Lake) Barclay, 93

Nora B. (Lake) Barclay, 93, of Chalk, Hill, Pa., a great lady, went home to be with her Lord and Savior.

She served others rather than herself.

Nora was born June 11, 1919, in Elliottsville, Pa., a daughter of Walter Lake and Sarah (Stanton) Lake.

She was a member of the Chalk Hill Methodist Church.

Surviving relatives include two daughters, Barbara Burd and husband William of Farmington, Pa., and Phyllis A. Barclay of Punxsutawney; eight grandchildren, Leda Bryner of Farmington, Luke A. Bryner and wife Lorrie of Vanderbilt, Pa., Lori Ann Reeder and husband Stewart of Dunkirk, Md., Patty Burd, Samantha Burd and Altantis Burd, all of Farmington, and Jill Stair and Amy Martz, both of Punxsutawney; great-grandchildren Alexandria Falk, Shane, Rickie, Liberty, Warren and Seth Bryner, Christian Bryner, Jonathan Brock and Braden Sallack, Michael Reeder, Janelle and Hannah Stair and Megan Martz; and a sister, Hilda Raymond of State College.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Russell C. Barclay in 1996; and siblings Earl Lake, Webb Lake, Pearl Mitchner, Blanche Conway, Ruth Pawlak, Edna Fischer, Dorothy Tuttle, Mary Ellen Lake, Anna Mae Lake and Johnnie Lake.

Friends will be received from to 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Donald R. Crawford Funeral Home, Hopwood, Pa.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012.

Interment will follow at the Sunset View Cemetery, Chalk Hill.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chalk Hill United Methodist Church, Chalk Hill, PA 15421.
