Nominations sought for Man & Woman of the Year

PUNXSUTAWNEY — Nominations are currently being accepted for Man of the Year and Woman of the Year, honors that are presented annually at the Groundhog Banquet.

Nomination criteria and applications are available at the Punxsutawney Memorial Library, the Chamber of Commerce and the office of the Punxsutawney Spirit.

The application is also available on the home page of punxsutawney.com.

The deadline for nominations for both the Man and Woman of the Year is Wednesday, Jan. 16.

Nominations should be submitted to the Chamber of Commerce, 102 West Mahoning St.

The announcement of the honors will be at this year’s Groundhog Banquet, which will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1 at the Punxsutawney Area High School cafeteria.
