No injuries in 119 crash near county line

YOUNG TOWNSHIP —There were no injuries reported in a two-vehicle accident that occurred at 3:05 p.m. Wednesday near Nelson’s Mini-Mart on Route 119 north, Young Township.

According to Punxsutawney-based Pennsylvania State Police, a Dodge Neon driven by Elise V. Butler, Punxsutawney, was traveling north on Route 119 when traffic was stopped ahead, and she struck the rear of a Ford Ranger driven by Leonard T. Lang, Rochester Mills.

Police said Lang’s vehicle was stopped in traffic waiting for another vehicle that was attempting to make a left turn into the mini-mart parking lot, and Butler was unable to stop in time.

According to police, there were no injuries, and Butler’s vehicle, which sustained disabling damage, was towed from the scene by Walker’s Towing.

Police were assisted at the scene by Jefferson County EMS and the Lindsey Fire Company.
