Nancy Ruth McClure, 85

Nancy Ruth McClure, 85, of Punxsutawney, formerly of Gaskill Township, died Thursday, May 2, 2013, at DuBois Nursing Home.

She was born Jan. 6, 1928, in Gaskill Township, a daughter of the late Otto and Kate (Kuntz) Ecelbarger.

She was a graduate of Big Run High School.

On Aug. 7, 1948, she married James Jeffrey McClure.

He preceded her in death on Sept. 26, 1983.

Ruth enjoyed being a mother and a homemaker.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Nancy J. Hoover and husband Don of DuBois.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her only child, Joel Jeffrey McClure; two brothers, Phillip and Richard Ecelbarger; and two sisters, June Steele and Nellie Medley.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. today at McClure Cemetery in Big Run, officiated by Pastor Bob Bish.

Interment will follow at the cemetery.
