Nancy A. Heitzenrater, 68, Punxsutawney, died Thursday, May 24, 2012, at Mulberry Square Elder Care & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born June 18, 1943, in Reynoldsville, a daughter of the late John S. and Margaret E. (North) Heitzenrater.

She was Protestant by faith.

Ms. Heitzenrater enjoyed attending Camp Friendship, puzzles, crafts and spending time with her family.

Surviving relatives include a sister, Virginia “Bets” Hill and husband Robert of Varysburg, N.Y.; a brother, John “Eddy” Heitzenrater and wife Jane of Dothan, Ala.; a sister, Margaret “Peggy” Garzoni and husband James of Oakboro, N.C.; a sister, Donna J. Douthit and husband Robert of Reynoldsville; and a brother, Ronald E. Heitzenrater and wife Mary Kay of Punxsutawney; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert L. Heitzenrater.

Friends will be received from noon to 1 p.m., Saturday, May 26, 2012, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012, at the funeral home with Clair Heitzenrater officiating.

Interment will be at Lakelawn Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made in Ms. Heitzenrater’s memory to Camp Friendship.
