OLIVEBURG — The operator of a motorcycle was injured when he lost control of his bike at 9:03 p.m. Saturday on Route 36, Oliveburg.

Coleman said the victim was flown by STAT MedEvac helicopter from the field adjacent to the Oliveburg Post Office to Altoona Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.

Punxsutawney-based Pennsylvania State Police were assisted at the scene by Jefferson County EMS and the Oliver Township Volunteer Fire Company; Punxsutawney Central Fire Department set up the landing zone.
