Moonshine makes its way into Jefferson County

Moonshine is coming to Western Pennsylvania!

David and Jennifer Black, owners of the new Blackbird Distillery in Brookville celebrated their grand opening on Wednesday.

The new and exciting adventure has taken over two years of hard work and determination to come full circle for Blackbird Distillery, the Blacks said.

“We are a small batch, single run distillery, using just the hearts of the run to process our shine,” said David. “We craft our shine right from the grains to the bottles right here in Brookville and use a corn whiskey recipe with the addition of honey to make our shine quite unique.”
