Mona Mae Pearce, 79, Punxsutawney, died Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Mulberry Square Elder Care & Rehabilitation Center in Punxsutawney.

She was born June 13, 1932, in Juneau, a daughter of the late Howard and Margaret (Palmer) Hartzfeld.

She was married to Francis W. Pearce and Norman H. Pearce, both of whom preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Pearce was a member of the Chestnut Grove Independent Church of Punxsutawney.

Surviving relatives include two sons, Francis W. Pearce of Punxsutawney and Scott H. Pearce and wife Katrina of Hooper, Utah; a daughter, Connie Popson and husband Ralph of Summerville; a sister, Ruth Firment and husband Andrew of Punxsutawney; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy E. Stiver; a brother, Wayne Hartzfeld; and an infant brother.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at the funeral home with Pastor Joseph Spack officiating.

Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill EUB Cemetery in Gaskill Township.
