Miriam Arlene Maloney, 87

Miriam Arlene Maloney, 87, Punxsutawney, passed away Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, at her home.

She was born Dec. 18, 1922, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Harry and Rita (Andre) Hippchen.

Mrs. Maloney was married to John F. Maloney, who preceded her in death March 12, 1994.

She was co-owner of the Elk Run Sunoco and a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Punxsutawney.

Mrs. Maloney loved her grandchildren and traveling with her family.

Surviving relatives include a son, John F. Maloney Jr., of Punxsutawney; three daughters, Jean Maloney, Kaye Maloney, and Lisa McGee and husband Tom, all of Punxsutawney; and three grandchildren, Jordan, Lauren and Brandon McGee.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Hippchen; and a sister, Evelyn Hippchen.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, and until the time of service Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at the funeral home with the Rev. Glenn McQuown officiating.

Interment will be in the Circle Hill Cemetery, Punxsutawney.
