ROSSITER — The Rossiter Miners' Federation League baseball team will host the second-annual Breast Cancer Awareness Tournament today and Sunday at Shaffer Field in Rossiter.

Four games will be played in the tournament this weekend, with three games featuring the hometown Miners.

All proceeds from food and beverage sales will go toward the Walker's Warriors Relay for Life team. There will also be silent auctions and raffles, with a pink bat autographed by Punxsy native and current Cincinnati Reds prospect Devin Mesoraco being the main piece raffled off.

More than $3,000 was raised during the inaugural game last year. Just as last year, the Miners plan to wear pink jerseys and use pink bats to raise Breast Cancer Awareness.

The first game of the tournament is at 6 p.m. tonight when the Miners host the DuBois Rockets. After tonight's game, the band Average Joe will play at the Rossiter Legion.

Sunday's schedule includes DuBois and NAPA Auto Parts at 1 p.m., the Brookville Grays and Rossiter at 3:30 p.m. and the Sykesville Senators and Rossiter at 6 p.m.
