Mildred L. Hoch, 88, Sprankle Mills, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at her home.

She was born Feb. 2, 1922, in Oliver Township, a daughter of the late Manuel J. and Myrtle (Moore) Burkett.

Jan. 20, 1944, she married Clarence L. Hoch, who preceded her in death Jan. 17, 2010.

Surviving relatives include a son, Thomas Hoch and wife Sandy of Ringgold; two daughters, Kathleen Smith and husband John of Punxsutawney and Millie Reitz and husband Donald of Punxsutawney; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Martha Hoch of Sprankle Mills; a brother, Alton L. Burkett of Punxsutawney; and a sister, Elva Fike of Mayport.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard; a grandson, Joshua Reitz; and two sisters, Helen Todd and Martha Dobson.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, at the funeral home with Pastor Chris Golembiowski officiating.

Interment will be in Barton Chapel Cemetery, Sprankle Mills.
