January 26, 2012

Comedy writer Dan Long

PUNXSUTAWNEY — Next Wednesday, the Punxsy Elks Club will host its 14th annual comedy night. The show will feature Michaelangelo as emcee and headliner Dan Long.

Long, an Ohio Native, has performed his high-energy act all over the country. A master of impressions, Long performs a spot-on impersonation of Jack Nicholson, Johnny Carson and others.

A former writer for “The Tonight Show,” this veteran of the stand-up comedy scene has performed from coast to coast.

Michaelangelo has performed his blend of magic and comedy all over the world. He has performed at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, Heinz Field and PNC Park, as well as many corporate events, trade shows and conventions.

The show is open to the public. Anyone can reserve tickets by calling the Groundhog Magic & Costume Studio at 938-2346 or the Punxsy Elks Club at 938-6620.

There will be two shows Feb. 1, one at 7 p.m. and the second at 9:30 p.m. in the newly-finished Elks ballroom.

Food and beverages will be available to those attending.

A portion of the proceeds will go towards Elks charities.

“Come for a fun filled night,” Michaelangelo said.
