Michael A. "Mike" Larko, 98, of Penn Hills, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Ligonier Gardens.

Mike was the beloved husband of the late Margaret J. Larko; the father of John Larko, of Leechburg, Pa., Michael J. (Marsha) Larko, of Plum, Pa., Rev. Ronald Larko, of Uniontown, Pa., Thomas (Karen) Larko, of Punxsutawney, Anna (John) Maier, of New Florence, Pa., Patricia (Ed) Morris, of Turtle Creek, Pa., and the late Robert G. Larko; the grandfather of 16; and the great-grandfather of 11. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mike and his wife owned and operated Larko's Confectionery Store in North Bessemer.

Friends will be received on Friday, July 26, 2013, from 3 to 9 p.m. with a Parastas Service at 8 p.m. at Soxman Funeral Homes, Ltd./Roth Chapel, 7450 Saltsburg Rd. (at Universal Road) in Penn Hills, Pa., where a Panachida Service will be held for the immediate family, Saturday at 9:30 a.m.

A Divine Liturgy will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the Church of the Resurrection with the Most Reverend William Skurla officiating and Fr. Joseph Raptosh, Pastor of the Church of the Resurrection, and Fr. Ronald P. Larko as co-celebrants. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church.

A private interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Yatesboro, Pa.
