Meterko led Chucks at TSCTA Championship

EDINBORO — A.J. Meterko led all Punxsy indoor runners with an individual eighth place finish in the 800-meter run at the Tri-State Track and Field Association Championships Saturday at Edinboro.

Meterko finished with a time of 2:04.68.

He qualified for the TSCTA State Championship meet at State College Feb. 26.

Other place winners for the Chucks included:

Boys' 4x800 relay— Meterko, Tom Wagner, Nathan Ward and Luke Fugate, 9:01.44, ninth place.

Girls' Distance Medley relay— Shannon Byerely, Alexis Young, Lauren McGarvey an Juliann Boddorf, 13:49.54, sixth place.

1,600 meter run—Young, 5:51.95, sixth place.

3,000 meter run—Byerly, 11:39.12, 14th place.
