Lending a helping hand to the Punxsutawney Area Chamber of Commerce and PRIDE was the goal of the day last week, as two employees from McDonald's, owned by Gene Puskash, spent their work day recently installing the scare crows on the parking meters downtown and assisting with the cleanup of the beds surrounding the trees along the sidewalk in downtown Punxsutawney. Shown cleaning up weeds and end of the season flowers are Bill Love (left), from the Brookville McDonald's, and Loni Rodabaugh (right), from the Punxsy McDonald's. Karen Love, manager of the Punxsy store said Puskash has committed one crew member from each of the four stores he owns to help with beautification in Punxsy, Brookville, Clarion and St. Marys.
