Mary M. Reed, 89, Ringgold, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
She was born Sept. 19, 1921, in Timblin, a daughter of the late Charles and Gladys (Snyder) Anderson.
Sept. 19, 1941, she married Charles “Skipper” Richard Reed, who survives.
Mrs. Reed was a member of the Ringgold United Methodist Church.
In addition to her son, surviving relatives include a son, Clifford “Buzz” Reed and wife Cindy of Punxsutawney; two grandchildren, Christopher Reed and wife Megan and Candy Reed, all of Punxsutawney; and two sisters, Dorothy Wright of Knox Dale, and Emma Jean Vega of Erie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Grace Bussard, Lois Burkett and Carol McGregor; and a brother, Charles Anderson Jr.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, at the funeral home with Pastor Joan Rousseaux officiating.
Interment will be in Ringgold Cemetery.
