Mary Louise Hosack Wayland, 86

Mary Louise Hosack Wayland, 86, DuBois, died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011, at the DuBois Nursing Home.

She was born Aug. 19, 1925, in Allegheny County, a daughter of the late James and Hilda (Brocious) Hosack.

Sept. 10, 1955, in Ringgold, she married Robert O. Wayland, who survives.

She was the owner/operator of Wayland Agway from 1959-1992. The business is still in the family.

Mrs. Wayland was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in DuBois.

She was also a member of the Bereans at First United Presbyterian Church and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

She enjoyed her grandchildren, reading, playing cards, square dancing and camping.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, James Wayland and wife Ellen of DuBois, Susan Knarr and husband David of DuBois, and Kathleen Ito and husband Lloyd of Luthersburg; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today the Goble Baronick Funeral Home, DuBois.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011, at the First United Presbyterian Church in DuBois with Pastor Sarah Ott officiating.
