Mary Lou (Snavely) Bair, 83

Mary Lou (Snavely) Bair, 83, formerly of the Elk Run area and the Jefferson Street High-Rise, died Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at Laurelbrooke Landing, Brookville.

She was born Dec. 17, 1927, in Johnstown, a daughter of the late Russell and Florence (Collen) Snavely.

June 23, 1951, she married Wayne (Yogi) Edward Bair, who preceded her in death Dec. 23, 2002.

Mrs. Bair was employed as a cook at IUP-Punxsutawney and the Eagles, and she was a member of F.O. Eagles No. 1231, where she also served as past president.

Surviving relatives include two daughters, Roberta Huber and husband Larry, and Sharon Bianco and husband Ronald, all of Punxsutawney; two sons, Russell Bair and wife Cathy, and Daniel Bair and friend Marlene, all of Punxsutawney; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Snavely and Jack Snavely; two sisters, Phyllis and Marjorie; and a grandson, James Waite.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011, at the funeral home with Pastor Clifford Voss II officiating.

Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Cloe.
