Mary L. Anderson, 81, Rossiter, died Sunday, June 8, 2014, at Christ the King Manor, DuBois.

She was born Nov. 26, 1932, in Porter Township, Jefferson County, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Myers) Boozer.

In 1953, she married Charles Anderson, Jr., who preceded her in death.

She attended Ss. Cosmas and Damian Roman Catholic Church of Punxsutawney.

She enjoyed crocheting, ceramics, puzzle books, reading romance novels, and she was a member of the Book Nook.

She retired as a nurse’s aide for Blose-McGregor Healthcare.

Surviving relatives include one son, Randy Anderson and wife Debbie of Rossiter; three grandchildren, Anna Anderson of Brookville, Misty Hopkins of Punxsutawney, and Kayla Hanley of Rossiter; two great-grandchildren, Isaac Hanley and Bailee Franklin; two brothers, Charles Boozer and wife Ruth of Punxsutawney and Jerry Lee “Jed” Boozer and wife Rosie of Greenville; and several nieces and nephews, including Avis Keener and Gary Boozer.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Anderson; a brother, Max Boozer; and a sister, Betty Boozer.

A private family visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A private family service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at the funeral home, with Monsignor Joseph Riccardo officiating.

Interment will be at Worthville Cemetery.
