Mary Jane Miller, 68

Mary Jane Miller, 68, Brookville, died Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She was born Dec. 11, 1943, in Tonawanda, N.Y., a daughter of the late Marcel Russell and Hilda Madelyn (Lewis) Wazelle.

May 25, 1974, she married the love of her life, Wayne Arthur Miller, who preceded her in death Oct. 1, 2009.

Mrs. Miller was a member of the Nazerene Church in Anita.

She and her husband lived most of their lives in Wyoming, where they enjoyed riding horses, backpacking, square dancing, bowling and Black Powder Rendezvous.

She was a member of Eastern Star in Wyoming.

Mrs. Miller worked for the Wyoming Highway Department for 16-and-a-half years.

The couple moved back to Brookville in 1994.

Mrs. Miller was a fan of Elvis and had a large collection of memorabilia.

Surviving relatives include Dorinda K. Smith and husband Glen of Gillette, Wyo., whom Mrs. Miller considered to be like a daughter; two sisters, Ruth Brown of DuBois and Connie Jean Miller of West Minster, Md.; two brothers, Don Wazelle and wife Dorothy of Big Run, and Ray Wazelle and wife Tanya of Knox Dale; and four grandchildren, Glen Jr., C’era, Echo and Saunda.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at Shumaker Funeral Home Inc., Punxsutawney.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at the funeral home with Jim Lantz officiating.

Interment will follow at Circle Hill Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Miller's memory to the American Lung Association, 3001 Old Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, Pa. 17011.
